    I was inspired by the idea to draft up and make this after seeing a pattern for a Dodge Truck table mat By Connie at Freemotion by the River. I'm pretty happy with the way my table mats turned out. I quilted it using simple meaner with a little difference on the window.

    The light must have been just right when we exited a quilt show to make this tree so inspiring! It took two years to figure out and then get comfortable with the process to make this wall hanging. The foliage fabric was leftovers from a quilt for my Aunt, the variety of colors were perfect. Pattern available.

    Update: I finished hand binding. My friend, Patti Hutchins, FMQ flowers on her long arm. My quilt guild is having a year long UFO challenge to finish projects that ends next month. This will be the 15th finished of 23 projects. I started this and the other pink elephant quilt (that I'm posting next) when I made one for my husbands great niece. This one will go to my guild's silent auction at our quilt show in April. I used an Accuquilt elephant die to cut out the elephant's and the embroidery program to embroider the elephants in this baby quilt. I alternated the elephant blocks with scrappy nine patch on point blocks. 50" x 60"

    Update: added the last two corners today. My friend will quilt it soon for our guild's quilt show. I'll update after quilting. . I cut out pieces on my accuquilt Studio for my friends Flurry quilt top. I used interfacing and sewed around the edges to turn right side out to give a finished edge. My friend and I placed the pieces and ironed the pieces for the center snowflake and started on two corners. I need to cut out more orange peel pieces to finish the corners. We added in small and medium orange peels, so it's a little different from the original. 111" x 111"
