Giant Dahlia

In fall 2014, I was fortunate enough to take a Giant Dahlia class from Suzzy Payne, a well known quilting teacher in my area. The petals of the dahlia are made from just two ombre fabrics and are fussy cut along the lengthwise grain. I machine quilted the dahlia in a radiant pattern using various colors of thread.
